The Hotel
The Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport is a 5 star hotel with 315 rooms, located at the entrance to the Sydney domestic airport. We have 11 conference rooms catering for up to 500 people, as well as an Argentinean Style restaurant namely La Boca and 24 hour Room Service.
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Food & Beverage Team Leader to join our team in our La Boca Restaurant and Bar, well-known place for foods and drinks among frequent travelers. This is a hands on role.
Job Responsibilities
Be a super star consistently thriving to achieve sales target
Assist the F&B management team with day to day operations of the outlet
Lead, mentor and train the Food and Beverage team, ensuring a fun and energetic working environment
Ensure that team members are briefed on all Food & Beverage campaigns and initiatives
Actively participate in improving the service standards and ratings
Assist in the induction process of new team members
Provide input on greater Food and Beverage strategies
Promote the competitive environment of up-selling and cross-selling
Ensure that strategies are in place to allow efficient and effective staffing of the department to achieve service quality and financial targets
Be an advocate of the procedures in place
Requirements
We are looking for an energetic person who is looking for their next challenge, someone who is hard working, career orientated and who has a passion for the Food and Beverage Service, especially Bar Work. The ideal person will have two years previous experience in a competitive F&B Service environment of 4 to 5 star hotel or similar, as well as experience using Micros and a current RSA (essential). Experience in South American Cuisine will be highly advantageous.
