Job Description Please note, Derwent Bridge Hotel is not in an eligible location to be counted toward WHM visa days Onsite staff accommodation available Own car highly recommended but not required What you’ll do: We’re hiring two casual team members to start immediately at the newly refurbished Derwent Bridge Hotel. We're looking for a front-of-house superstar who can manage high volume orders and knows how to multitask behind a bar. We also looking for someone to balance front of house duties with assisting behind the scenes as a kitchen hand. You'll provide exceptional service with a warm welcome. You’ll treat our guests and customers as individuals, offering tailored options and solutions with a resilient and can-do attitude. On a daily basis you will: Undertake general waiting and service duties of food and beverages. Ensure accurate processing of dockets, including cashiering duties. Setup and reset restaurants and specific conference & function activities as required. Keep our kitchen running smoothly by handling general cleaning in food prep areas, washing dishes, and lending a hand to the chefs with ingredient prep and assembly What you’ll bring: Food and beverage service experience with a passion for great food showcasing local produce Strong bar and cocktail making experience A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team Genuine interest and knowledge of beverage products such as spirits, beer, and wine. A reputation for providing excellent customer service, engaging in great conversations with our guests An ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and people skills Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA) Possess a Do Food Safely Certificate of completion Flexible attitude to work hours over a 7 day roster, including weekends and public holidays What’s in it for you?
