LOCATION: EDWARDIAN TEA ROOMS, BIRMINGHAM MUSEUM & ART GALLERY / OTHER BMT SITES SUBJECT TO BUSINESS NEEDS
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team as a Food & Beverage Assistant. Based at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery within the beautiful Edwardian Tea Rooms, you’ll be predominantly working Saturday & Sunday.
As a Food & Beverage Assistant you will be taking orders, preparing food and drinks, serving either at the counter or at the tables, washing up, cash handling, clearing tables. You’ll be proactively upselling and ensuring that visitors have a great experience of dining with us. A trip to the Edwardian Tea Rooms is an important part of the visitor experience at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, so you will play a critical role in the customer journey! At all times you will make sure that the very best customer service is provided. You’ll also be friendly and keen to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into whatever tasks you are set, no matter what the day holds.
To succeed in this role we are looking for the following:
Previous experience within a similar environment
Food Safety Level 2 and Food Allergen training preferable - however full training will be given
Have a great eye for detail and is an excellent organised individual.
Please note the site named is likely to be your most regular place of work, however you may be required to work at other BMT sites from time to time as the business requires.

Interviews will be taking place week commencing 14th April 2025 with a panel including Noor Miah - Food & Beverage Manager.
