The position is based in Accor’s flagship Canberra hotel, Novotel Canberra, conveniently based in the city centre opposite the light rail. We are a 286-room hotel with 8 conferencing and event facilities hosting all events from Corporate groups to sports teams.
Job Description
We are seeking two enthusiastic and customer-focused Food & Beverage Attendants to join our team at Novotel Canberra. As key members of our hospitality team, the successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience. Our current vacancies are:

1 x Part-Time Food & Beverage Attendant (Breakfast Team)

• Must have Wednesday, Thursday and Friday availability, 5.30am-10.30am
• Approx. 25 hours per week, preferably across 5 shifts (Wednesday-Sunday preferred)

1 x Casual Food & Beverage Attendant (Conference & Events/All-Rounder)

• Flexible availability needed
• Conference and events experience highly regarded

Responsibilities include:

• Provide a warm welcome and engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Support the daily operations of the hotel and assist the management team in running the restaurant efficiently
• Deliver efficient and customer focused service during conferences and other events held at the hotel
• Process financial transactions accurately and carry out end-of-day closing procedures in line with company policies
• Maintain a clean and organised dining area, ensuring all health and safety standards are met
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery
• Stay informed about menu items, specials, and any changes to effectively communicate with guests

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a similar food and beverage service role
• Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) competency
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills
• Strong customer-focused approach with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude
• Strong attention to detail in service delivery and financial transactions
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues
