Do you enjoy being a host, have a passion for service, and would like to look after our guests in a relaxed atmosphere at our small hotel bar?

For our regional Heiner Hotel in Darmstadt with 167 rooms, we are looking for reinforcements in the Food & Beverage area as soon as possible – full-time or part-time.

Your main focus will be on service at our small hotel bar. You will warmly welcome our guests, serve drinks and light meals, and ensure a pleasant end to the day with attentive, uncomplicated service.

Experience in the hotel or restaurant industry is welcome, but not a requirement: Motivated career changers who enjoy interacting with guests are also very welcome.

Your tasks

• A warm welcome and attentive service to our national and international guests at the hotel bar.
• Preparation and serving of beverages, especially beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee and simple mixed drinks.
• Serving and, if necessary, preparing small dishes and snacks as part of our offering.
• Advising our guests on our drinks and snacks selection
• Independent cash management, correct accounting and careful daily closing.
• Preparing the bar area, as well as restocking and checking inventory.
• Ensuring cleanliness, order and compliance with applicable hygiene regulations in the F&B area
• Close cooperation with reception and other hotel departments
• Attentive handling of guest requests and professional service even during peak guest times
• Participation in the further development of our small bar menu and service processes

Ideally, you should bring the following:

• Training or initial professional experience in gastronomy, hotel industry or service – alternatively, motivation for a career change.
• Enjoyment of interacting with people and a good sense for attentive, personal service
• An independent, structured and responsible work ethic
• A friendly, open and communicative demeanor
• Good German skills and ideally English skills.
• A well-groomed appearance and an awareness of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Team spirit, flexibility and willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays
