POSITION SUMMARY:

The Food & Beverage / Kitchen Manager will effectively manage all aspects of food & beverage for the Iron Peak Sports & Events Center. This position is responsible for delivering an exceptional food & beverage experience for all our guests.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • 2-5 years of culinary, cooking, and/or kitchen experience
  • 2-4 years of food & beverage management experience
  • Food Safety Manager Certification is preferred
  • ServSafe and TIPS Certification is preferred
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work irregular shifts to include nights, weekends, holidays as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations
  • Supervise all kitchen and bar staff
  • Hire, train, mentor, supervise and evaluate staff
  • Open and close the kitchen
  • Create and implement menus
  • Budget and monitor weekly food and labor costs
  • Monitor quality control and sales
  • Generate daily and monthly financial reports as well as inventory reports
  • Manage inventory and order kitchen supplies as necessary
  • Research new food and beverage products
  • Create new menu and marketing ideas
  • Manage supply invoices
  • Set up vendor accounts
  • Meet with food vendors and make decisions on products
  • Communicate with sales representatives and suppliers
  • Inspect equipment and food deliveries
  • Coordinate kitchen equipment installation
  • Evaluate health and safety practices
  • Record information about inventory and health practices
  • Handle customer complaints and suggestions
  • Organize and manage catering
  • Coordinate with other managers for special events and parties
  • Complete special projects and daily assignments as directed by General Manager and Director of Operations
  • Responsible for the sale, marketing, coordination, planning, execution and evaluation of all non-tournament special events
  • Manage special event budget
  • Ensure that all special events have signed contracts, certificates of insurance and paid deposits prior to arrival
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
