Say farewell to the ordinary, and hello to the extraordinary! Job Description What you’ll do We are seeking a motivated Food & Beverage Management Intern to join the team at SLS Barcelona. Reporting directly to the management team of Food & Beverage, this role will support them in the day-to-day operations of one outlet of the Food & Beverage department, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational efficiency. You will be personally and actively involved in both front-of-house operations and back-office responsibilities for the assigned outlet, serving on the front line of guests whenever needed while also supporting operational and administrative functions. More specifically: Front-of-house Support: Supporting the front-of-house operations of the assigned outlet, ensuring smooth operations and delivering excellent guest experience. Back-of-house Support: Assist the management team of Food & Beverage department with back-office operations, including setting up products, menus, and pricing. Update restaurant menus regularly, implementing seasonal changes, price adjustments, and introducing new dishes and beverages as needed Reporting & Analysis: Generate reports on sales trends, costs, and profitability. Analyze data to evaluate department performance and support decision-making processes. Provide insights and recommendations for improvement based on key performance indicators (KPIs). VIP Reservations: Coordinate VIP reservations, ensuring exceptional, personalized service for high-profile guests. Work with the team to exceed guest expectations and ensure an unforgettable experience. Revenue Maximization: Analyze booking patterns and trends to develop strategies aimed at maximizing occupancy and revenue. Work closely with other teams to identify opportunities to enhance sales and profitability. Billing & Invoicing: Manage invoices and payments related to DJs, promoters, and complementary services. Ensure accurate billing and compliance with financial agreements. Team Coordination: Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and maintain high service standards. Assist in training and mentoring team members, fostering a positive and productive environment. Qualifications What we are looking for... Possibility to sign an agreement with your school for a period of preferably 6 months. Currently enrolled in a bachelor´s or master´s program in Hospitality, Restaurant Management or a related field. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of hotel food & beverage systems and software is a plus. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English. Multitasking & Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with a keen eye for detail. Problem Solving & Decision Making: Capable of taking ownership of challenges, solving problems, and making effective decisions. Adaptability: Quick to learn and adapt to the unique culture and standards at SLS Barcelona.
