The hotel is newly refurbished with a décor based on Oxford style vintage fashion. Set amongst 3 acres of private gardens and only 2 miles from Oxford city centre Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel is a beautiful country manor in the picturesque village of Iffley. A total of 77 rooms, all en-suite, are divided between two buildings, each with an entirely different character. It's a 10 minute bus ride, from the bus stop outside the hotel, to the city centre and train station, or a relaxing 35 minute walk along the riverside Thames Path National Trail, which is just steps away from the hotel. The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the restaurant and bar, direct F&B team to ensure that customers are satisfied with their dining experience and manage the business to ensure it is profitable. F&B Manager is responsible for managing food and beverage costs, upholding menu standards and controlling inventory. Provide guidance and support to the Food and Beverage team, helping them to achieve their potential and accomplish overall departmental objectives. Are responsible for ensuring the Food & Beverage outlet/s run efficiently and that customers are satisfied with the quality of food, drink and service they receive. Give attention to detail, ensuring that that the work environment is a safe, pleasant and well-maintained space. Are involved in daily financial administrative tasks, stock management and end of month reporting.
