Say farewell to the ordinary, and hello to the extraordinary! Job Description What you’ll do We are looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join the team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Director of Food & Beverage, the Food & Beverage Manager supports directing the Food & Beverage strategy of the hotel while supporting the Food & Beverage day-to-day tasks. The Food & Beverage Manager assures the hotel service is true to the SLS brand by fostering a team culture in which its members feel empowered to make decisions and take responsibility for their workload and professional development. Drive revenue through strategic management of commercial initiatives with the Director of Food & Beverage. Take responsibility for the branding (in accordance with SLS’s brand), revenue and management of food & beverage colleagues in partnership with the food & beverage leaders. Ensures that regular, on-going communication occurs in all areas of food and beverage. Inspire staff, provide guidance and training, and address any performance issues. Contribute to the hiring process, conduct performance appraisals, and make personnel-related decisions. Collaborate on financial forecasting and budgeting for the department. Analyzes financial reports and statements to evaluate Food and Beverage performance relative to budgetary targets. Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor pricing, and sales strategies to inform decision-making. Support the Director of Food and Beverage in various administrative tasks, including departmental reports and strategic planning. Assists in the inventory management and ongoing maintenance of hotel operating equipment and other assets. Establishes clear expectations and holds the food and beverage leadership team accountable for exemplifying desired service standards. Facilitates the integration of new hires into the department through orientation programs and tailored training initiatives to enable successful job performance. Qualifications What we are looking for... Degree with emphasis in Hospitality/Restaurants management. +4 years experience in hospitality within hotels/restaurants with high volume of food & beverage operations in a management position. Knowledge of local market will be a plus. Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the company's values. Proficient knowledge of computer systems such as: Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook is required Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
