Bushwood Golf Club is a 27 public golf course in Markham on Reesor Road, 2 milessouth of the Town of Stouffville. The club is family-owned and has operated for over 50 years. It is an active member of its surrounding community.

Bushwood Golf Club is looking for a Food & Beverage Manager:

  • The successful candidate will be organized, a self-starter, exhibit attention to detailand demonstrate a passion for customer service
  • They will demonstrate the importance of health and safety in the workplace
  • Possess the traits and skills to build a cohesive team
  • Knowledge of the game of golf
  • Possess outstanding communication skills which are key to a successful working relationship with colleagues, staff, suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading the Food & Beverage Department
  • Hiring, training and coaching the department’s staff: kitchen staff, servers, banquet staff, beverage cart servers
  • Managing Events
  • Staff Scheduling and Inventory Management
  • Ordering Beverages and Confectionary Items
  • Overseeing the Food Ordering
  • Ensure the equipment in the department is well-maintained
  • Souring and dealing with suppliers
  • Managing the inventory and the gross margin of the department
  • Menu Design for restaurant, patios, bar and events
  • Managing the department within the annual operating budget

Schedule:

  • Combination of Weekdays, Weekends & Holidays
  • Day off, typically Monday or Tuesday during the busier months
  • More time off in the shoulder or non-peak months

Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Food & Beverage Manager
  • Must have experience with Food & Beverage POS systems, Office, and Microsoft Software
  • Prior experience with ordering weekly food and beverage and clubhouse supplies
  • Some menu development, the restaurant and patio features Pub Style food
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or management role at a public golf course is preferred

Certificates:

  • Must possess current Smart Serve & Food Handlers Certificate
  • Successful completion of a Food & Beverage and or Hospitality Program

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 44 per week
