The Arbutus Ridge Golf Club is looking for the services of a Food & Beverage Manager/Event Coordinator.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge
· Must have Serving It Right Certificate
· Possess a working knowledge of the POS System
· Background experience in the golf industry is an asset but not necessary
· Solid understanding of the golf club environment is an asset
· Background in tourism and hospitality industry with extensive golf operations experience an asset
· Education related to the restaurant industry or of a business nature

· Elevated level of organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Capable of completing all opening and closing duties
· Cashing in/out accurately and efficiently
· Provide courteous and efficient service while maximizing sales by up selling, promoting features and specials
· Adheres to the safety policies in place for team members, as well as Members and guest of the club
· Implement & enforce comprehensive safety program for team members, members, and guests on course in compliance with local, municipal, and provincial laws
· Serves food and beverage (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) with the strictest adherence to all BC LCBC rules, regulations, and guidelines
· Have a thorough knowledge of set up, layouts and maximum room configurations for a variety of banquet activities including meetings, conferences, exhibits, receptions, and banquets
· Set up mechanical systems for events including room temperature, lighting, music, and fire systems
· Preparation of post event evaluation reports
· Conduct site inspections/tours as required and follow up with the contact
· Build wedding, banquet, golf, and Christmas packages catering to the needs of the guest
· Assist with preparation of documents for guest billing
