Description
The Role At Fisher & Paykel, we believe food is about far more than eating. It brings people together, supports wellbeing, fuels performance, and creates memorable experiences. As we continue to redefine what a world-class workplace experience looks like, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Food & Beverage Manager to help shape the future of food across our new Auckland campus. This is not a traditional hospitality management role. It is an opportunity to influence how we think about nutrition, wellbeing, sustainability, food innovation, and the role food play in creating exceptional employee and visitor experiences. Based in our brand-new, state-of-the-art kitchen and hospitality environment, you will lead the development and delivery of fresh, nutritious, and innovative food offerings that reflect modern consumer expectations and support the health and wellbeing of our people. Working Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and shift work for special events, you'll enjoy the rare opportunity to combine your passion for food with a lifestyle-friendly schedule while still having the freedom to be creative, experiment with new ideas, and continually elevate the food experience we provide. From creating seasonal menus and introducing new food concepts to supporting executive events and showcasing innovative approaches to nutrition and sustainability, you'll play a critical role in bringing our vision to life. While this is a leadership role, we are looking for someone who enjoys being close to the action and is happy to roll up their sleeves. You will be required to lead the cooking of main meals daily, leading by example and maintaining a strong connection to the customer experience. What You'll Be Doing Shape and elevate the food experience across our new Auckland campus, creating fresh, nutritious, and innovative offerings that inspire people, build community, and become a highlight of the working day. Bring creativity to life through menu innovation, seasonal concepts, emerging food trends, and exceptional hospitality experiences, while leading our café and catering operations to deliver outstanding quality and service. Lead from the front—whether mentoring your team, building strong supplier partnerships, or driving sustainability, customer experience, and operational excellence across every aspect of the operation. What You'll Bring Proven experience leading a high-quality hospitality, café, catering, corporate dining, or food service operation. You may currently be a Food & Beverage Manager, Head Chef, Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Catering Manager, or similar hospitality leader looking to shape a unique food experience. A genuine passion for food, nutrition, and hospitality, combined with strong culinary expertise, creativity, and a track record of developing innovative menus, food concepts, and experiences that bring people together. You will have a strong pedigree in cooking. Commercial acumen and operational leadership skills, with the ability to balance customer experience, quality, and cost. An engaging leadership style that inspires teams and builds strong relationships across the business. Curiosity, energy, and a desire to help shape a modern food experience unlike anything else in New Zealand workplace hospitality. Why Join Us? This is a unique opportunity to help shape a new food experience from the ground up within one of New Zealand's most iconic brands. https://www.trustedbrands.co.nz/results/ You'll work in a purpose-built, brand new modern kitchen environment, collaborate with passionate and talented colleagues, and have the opportunity to influence how food, wellbeing, and hospitality contribute to the employee experience of the future. This is an opportunity rarely found within the hospitality industry. If you're passionate about food, innovation, nutrition, and creating experiences people genuinely love, we'd love to hear from you. Along with a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy generous discounts on Fisher & Paykel and Haier products, life & disability insurance, discounted medical cover, access to our leading Whanau/Family leave offering, and free car parking on-site From the grandest of ideas to the smallest of details, every day we're turning our passion into performance and improving life through good design. #LI-SF1 Fisher & Paykel is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
