Responsibilities
  • Develop departmental standards and procedures to promote sales and beverage creativity and profit. Assist management in the development and communication of departmental strategies and goals.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets in compliance with the hotels’ or owner’s policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Comply with legislation and local laws regarding health, safety and alcohol services.
  • Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Promote teamwork and ensure staff are properly trained in quality and service standards. Educate and train all team members in compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Ensure security and proper storage of food and beverage products, inventory and equipment, and replenish supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste.
  • Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards to include:
  • Being attentive to guests
  • Accurately and promptly fulfilling guest requests
  • Understand and anticipate guest needs
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge which will enhance the guest experience
  • Demonstrate a service attitude that exceeds expectations
  • Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
  • Appreciate the dynamic nature of the hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers.
  • Be able to promote the hotel products and services.
  • Ensure known repeat guests, priority members and other VIP’s receive special attention.
