QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 3 years of serving experience in an upscale restaurant.
Experience with a variety of POS systems.
Wine knowledge is an asset (for lunch & afternoon service).
Command of culinary terms, especially those related to upscale dining.
Exceptional interpersonal abilities, including the ability to effectively communicate in English. An additional language(s) is an asset.
Able to resolve guest complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
Must be organized.
Must have exceptional memory and recall.
Can work under pressure. Must have Smart Choices Certification (Responsible Beverage Service - Province of Manitoba).
Must have paperwork to legally work in Canada.

Establish and build guest rapport from initial greeting to the end of the dining experience.
Answer all questions related to the menu, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options. Guide guests in their choices.
Provide seamless service throughout the dining experience.
Accurately handle all payment transactions.
Communicate efficiently, effectively and accurately with the kitchen to minimize ordering errors and/or timing issues.
Keep your section clean and organized at all times; this includes bussing when required.
Other duties as assigned.
