Company Description Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort Job Description We're looking for an experienced and dynamic Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team in Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal leadership role, you'll oversee daily food and beverage operations, lead a talented team, and create exceptional guest experiences. Lead and oversee daily restaurant, bar, and event service operations, ensuring seamless execution and professional, efficient service delivery across all shifts Supervise, train, mentor, and develop Food & Beverage team members to consistently meet and exceed service standards; support recruitment, onboarding, and roster development while fostering an inclusive and engaged workplace culture Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation in compliance with UAE legislative requirements and organizational policies; ensure responsible service of alcohol principles are consistently followed Manage guest interactions with professionalism and empathy, personally engage with guests, handle inquiries and complaints effectively, and encourage the team to maximize sales opportunities through product knowledge and strategic upselling Monitor and control operational costs, including labor efficiency, inventory management, and waste reduction; conduct regular stocktakes and contribute to the department's financial performance through revenue-driving initiatives Ensure workplace health and safety standards are maintained, proactively identify potential risks, and create a safe environment for both guests and team members Collaborate with kitchen and front office teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality service experiences and support the implementation of new initiatives and special events Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in a Food & Beverage Supervisory role, preferably in hotels, resorts, or high-volume restaurant environments Strong leadership and team management capabilities with demonstrated ability to train, motivate, and develop staff Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and UAE compliance regulations Proficiency in alcohol service, beverage knowledge, and wine pairing techniques with a passion for sharing expertise Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with guests and team members Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; calm, solutions-focused approach, especially during high-pressure or disrupted service periods Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software Demonstrated expertise in cash handling, billing accuracy, and cost control Experience coordinating events and managing special service occasions Conflict resolution and customer complaint handling experience Preferred: Liquor Control Qualification (LCQ) and/or Manager's Certificate in Food & Beverage Service Preferred: Experience in UAE hospitality industry or familiarity with local service standards and cultural practices Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the role Job-Category: Food & Beverage Job Type: Permanent Job Schedule: Full-Time
