Position Summary: The Food & Beverage Supervisor operates under the Shop Manager in attending to all of the needs of the Roy Barth Tennis Center Operation, including the Courtside Café. The Food & Beverage Supervisor is ideally ServSave certified, and has some experience in Food & Beverage operations.
Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay for this position starts at $18.00 per hour.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Education – High School degree or equivalent.
  • Must have an outgoing and pleasant personality and enjoy working with people.
  • Experience with computers and cash registers is preferred.
  • Well organized and self-motivated.
  • Must work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Good to excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 100% - Stands during shift.
  • 75% - reaches, bends, and stoops frequently.
  • 75% -Verbally communicates with guests and phone.
  • 20% - Carries 20-40lbs. a distance of 20 – 30 feet about 10 times per shift.
Responsibilities
  • Properly rotate all food and drink products in stock.
  • Clean and maintain equipment properly.
  • Efficiently and accurately serve drinks and light food items as they are ordered by guests.
  • Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations and resort requirements.
  • Take reservations for courts, programs and scheduled activities in person and on the phone.
  • Make sales transactions using the point of sale systems.
  • Properly greet and speak with guests as they enter the shop and offer assistance.
  • Engage customers in conversation when possible.
  • Be familiar with the merchandise in stock and help answer questions concerning our inventory.
  • Learn opening and closing shop procedures.
  • Complete daily business reports and daily tracking sheets.
  • Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Must be able to prioritize, organize, delegate work, and follow through with assigned tasks.
  • Assist with quarterly inventory.
  • Contribute to the growth and success of the team.
  • Upholds the core values and policies & procedures of the resort.
  • All other duties as assigned.
