As a Food & Beverage Team Leader, you’ll be a welcoming host, a local expert, and a proud brand ambassador, playing a key role in shaping that experience, Your role includes but is not limited to mise en place, equipment setup and pack down, and food and beverage service periods. Whether in our restaurant, bar, or banquets, you’ll create the warm, inviting atmosphere that makes every guest feel at home. To bring this to life, we’re currently searching for a Food & Beverage Team Leader to join our team on Part-time basis! A little taste of your day-to-day Working across multiple food and beverage operations – restaurant and bars, room service and banquets – including opening and closing. Creating a warm welcome to everyone and setting the tone for each guest’s experience Preparing and serving food and drinks to high standards, highlighting promotions to guests and maximising up-selling opportunities Provide professionally prepared beverages with consideration to timing, ingredients, method, and equipment. Work with and support your colleagues to offer seamless service to our guests Ascertain guest’s satisfaction and advise leader of any guest complaints or problems, no matter how small. Coordinate regular stocktakes of food, beverages, equipment and/or linen. Regularly review and report inventory figures to senior management and order accordingly Ensure that all food and beverage facilities and equipment including banquet spaces are cleaned, vacuumed, and properly stocked according to anticipated business volume. Ensure credit and financial transactions are handled securely, according to IHG compliance and End of shift and End of day daily cashiering and reports are carried out as per IHG standards Assist supervisors/Managers in training What we need from you A genuine passion for food and a love for sharing your culinary stories with our guests Valid Victorian RSA and Food Safety Certificate, as required by local law. Previous experience in a Food & Beverage/Restaurant & Bars related position Excellent Communication skills – guest will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities, so every guest leaves with great memories Ongoing availability to work rostered across 7 days a week including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and public holidays Must have a right to work in Australia.
