Job Details Job Location: GA-DAL Dalton Food Center - DALTON, GA 30720 Job Category: Food Service This position is responsible for: Accepts and receipts donations from donors; Unloads donor's vehicles and places food items in the warehouse in accordance with established policies and procedures; assists clients by filling food orders and loading their vehicles; maintains the neatness and orderliness of the warehouse. Key Responsibilities: Unloads donated food items from donors' vehicles; ensures careful handling and proper placement of all incoming food items. Ensures that Walmart donations are picked up five (5) times a week. Ensures that Food City donations are pick up two (2) times a week. Assists the Office Manager with food orders by completing a list of food items needed; assists with the pickup of ordered items. Sorts all food items and stocks shelves. Re-packs general, USDA and GNAP food boxes with the assigned food items. Fills clients voucher orders with the appropriate food boxes, i.e. USADA, GNAP, or general. Assists clients with loading food into vehicles when requested. Ensures all paperwork is sorted and filled in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsible for checking the freezer temperature daily and recording it on the log sheet. Maintains the freezer log sheet. Maintains the neatness and orderliness of the warehouse. Empties trash daily. Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Work is performed in a warehouse environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt and the like. Work will require driving a vehicle to pick up donated food items several times a week resulting in exposure to outdoor temperatures and heavy traffic. Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull heavy objects (up to 50lbs). Ability to meet attendance requirements.
