Position: Systems Technician - Temporary Full Time Position.
Pratts Food Service is a leading Western Canadian distributor of food and non-food products to a wide variety of Independent Restaurant, QSR, Hotel, Hospitality, Health-care, and Retail customers.
Reporting to, and directed by the local DC Systems Specialist and by the Director of Systems & Specialists, this position is responsible for timely and thorough resolutions to mechanical issues, installs and removals of food service equipment offered by Pratts Food Service’s loan and rental programs.

Qualifications / Assets:

  • Experience in B2B customer service.
  • Experience working with commercial food service equipment.
  • The ability to take direction from Systems Specialists.
  • Computer savvy and ability to learn and use app based service software platforms.
  • Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license.
  • The ability to lift and move parts and equipment, some with the assistance of jacks and lifts.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team to service a large territory with minimal direct supervision.
  • Must be willing to travel with some overnight stays within the general territory of the Province of Manitoba and the North-West portion of the Province of Ontario.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Delivery, install, set-up and removal equipment, as directed by Systems Specialist;
  • Gathering any required customer signatures for “Equipment” and “Rent” agreements. Any and all Pratts owned equipment that leaves Pratts premises, to be supplied on loan or rent to customers locations, must be accompanied by the appropriate equipment agreements .
  • Resolving equipment break-down issues in a timely, efficient manner, as directed by Systems Specialist;
  • Performing “Preventative Maintenance” service, as directed by the Director of Systems & Specialists.
  • Seek out and provide Systems category sales leads and opportunities for new business, while on service calls, to the Systems Specialists;
  • Any other duty assigned by the Systems Specialists or Pratts Management.
