Help the kitchen shine and the dining room run smooth. Join us as a Food Expediter. At Black Rock Oceanfront Resort, we take pride in offering thoughtfully prepared meals and seamless service at both Currents Restaurant and Big Beach Lounge. We are looking for a Food Expediter to help keep the connection strong between the kitchen and the front of house, ensuring every dish is delivered promptly and beautifully. If you enjoy staying active, working closely with both the kitchen and service teams, and playing a key role in keeping the dining experience smooth and coordinated, this could be a great fit. This is a great fit for someone who: Stays calm and focused in a fast-paced environment Is quick on their feet and comfortable carrying multiple plates at once Has a strong attention to detail and takes pride in presentation Communicates clearly and confidently with both the kitchen and service teams Enjoys being part of a collaborative team and stepping in where needed Keeps things clean, organized, and running smoothly during service Key responsibilities include: Coordinating timing and communication between the kitchen and servers Checking dishes for accuracy, quality, and presentation before they leave the pass Running food to tables in a timely and professional manner Supporting the flow of service during busy periods Helping to manage plateware and supplies at the pass Assisting with clearing, restocking, and light cleaning duties as required Upholding food safety, hygiene, and resort service standards Requirements: Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is an asset Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs Clear communication and teamwork skills Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Please note: Due to limited availability, staff accommodation is not available for this position. Candidates must already hold a valid Canadian work permit or be eligible to work in Canada.
