FOOD MANUFACTURING AND PROCESSING WORKER – JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to: Production Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience working in food, petfood, or pharmaceuticals is an asset.
· Good understanding of warehouse/processing operations, food processing and manufacturing operations
· Willingness to learn
· Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members, employees and leadership
· High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive company information
· Ability to complete a satisfactory criminal record check prior to first workday
Benefits – Employer contribution of 50% towards a family benefit plan setup and arranged by the employee, paid out on bi-weekly basis after probationary period (3 mos.)
Employees are expected to maintain work attendance. Below 90% a warning will be issued. Below 80% termination with cause. Please talk to your manager about attendance issues and scheduling.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The Food and Processing manufacturer role will work as part of a team to perform a variety of processing and packaging activities for a variety of customers and company owned products. Expectations of the role includes ensuring that we are producing safe, quality products for our customers, ensuring a safe environment for each other and ensuring we complete all required documentation in accordance to the needs of our programs.
DUTIES:
· Inspect, handle, prepare all materials to ensure compliance to product specification. This includes both raw materials, packaging materials and finished products.
· Ensure proper use of PPE, dress requirements and good manufacturing processes on a 12-hour dayshift
· Ensure schedule is maintained, KPI’s achieved and daily requirements of performance met, bringing forward opportunities to improve
· Effective and accurate documentation completion and review
· Providing recommendations to senior leadership on improvements
· All other duties as assigned by upper management
