Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Food Production Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical aptitude and foundational electrical knowledge to support and maintain the performance of our food processing equipment. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who thrives both in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and using downtime to drive equipment reliability and performance through planned maintenance and repairs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, including gearboxes, chains, pneumatics, hydraulics, and bearings.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems: ability to read schematics, use multimeters, and diagnose simple control issues.
  • Familiarity with automation equipment (PLC-controlled systems, sensors, drives) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during high-pressure situations with multiple concurrent equipment issues.
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and committed to continuous improvement and learning.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on food production and automation equipment (e.g., conveyors, motors, packaging machines, robotics, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies, managing multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Document maintenance activities, findings, and solutions accurately.
  • Identify root causes of recurring failures and collaborate with management to implement long-term solutions.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to company safety protocols and food safety standards.
  • Support installation, setup, and testing of new machinery or production lines.
