Summary:
MCNY’s Food Pantry serves MCNY students on the Manhattan and Bronx campuses. The pantry carries a variety of shelf stable foods that students can access to bring home for their families. The pantry is open Monday through Friday from 11am-6pm. MCNY is seeking a part-time Food Pantry Assistant to assist with daily and weekly operations of the pantry.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Availability for at least 1 morning shift per week (9am-1pm) to accommodate deliveries
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and a team player
  • Ability to work between both Manhattan and Bronx campuses

Responsibilities
  • Participate in Food Safety training online
  • Accept and unload food truck deliveries which includes lifting boxes up to 50 pounds and
  • pushing a hand cart.
  • Keep all shelves and tables clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Coordinate and communicate with MCNY Social Worker and

MCNY student workers about Food Pantry logistics

  • Assist with Food Pantry/Student Services related marketing and events
  • Foster a positive work environment of respect, teamwork, and effective communication.
