Now hiring team members to join one of Durham Region’s fastest growing retail food stores. We’re looking for individuals to join our Food Prep Kitchen Team.
We are looking for individuals with food preparation experience, hard working, high energy, and are enthusiastic to assist the team leader in providing quality prepared foods for our customers. Providing excellent customer service, maintaining health & safety standards, accurate product selection, preparing specialty items in batches. Food prep, culinary or restaurant experience is an asset but not required. Some heavy lifting is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Lift and or move up to 22kg (50lbs)
  • Regularly required to walk or stand during work hours
  • Reaching above shoulder height and below waist level
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Product knowledge is an asset
  • Team player
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: From $17.60 per hour
    Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Following recipes to prepare store made products.
  • Cutting, slicing and chopping vegetables and meats.
  • Packaging and labeling of prepared products.
  • Removing and disposing of packaging materials.
  • Rotation and stocking of products.
  • Storage cooler/bunker and fresh meat display organizing and inventory control
  • Providing assistance to other departments as needed
