OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Preparation Worker to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our meals are prepared efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall success of our food service operations. You will assist in meal preparation, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and uphold food safety standards to deliver high-quality dishes to our customers.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in food handling techniques and knowledge of food safety standards.
  • Experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
  • Basic cooking skills with an understanding of various cooking methods and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Be able to work early mornings. 7:00 AM is our common start time.
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
  • Follow recipes and instructions from chefs or kitchen managers to ensure consistency and quality in meal preparation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace by regularly cleaning surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
  • Adhere to all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe food handling practices.
  • Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
  • Participate in training sessions on food handling and safety protocols as required.
