JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Food Preparation Worker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by preparing high-quality ingredients and assisting in the overall food preparation process. This position requires a keen understanding of food safety practices and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This role could be part-time or full-time for the right person or combination of people. We would also be delighted to support people working towards formal qualifications (Apprenticeships, College Vocational Qualifications, etc).

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in food preparation or a kitchen environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with culinary techniques and food safety regulations is essential.
  • Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately are required.
  • Experience in a restaurant setting or serving role is advantageous.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy kitchen atmosphere.

Mayvn are looking for an experienced Food Prep Specialist who can turn their hand to preparing a range of food within the restaurant. The successful candidate will be a highly experienced point of contact for customers and be experienced in table service of food and drinks.

Responsibilities
  • Craft Bespoke Menu Items: Prepare and serve an extensive range of food, hot and cold drinks for the daily menu.
  • Customer Service: Be knowledgeable regarding the products. Remember daily alterations to the menu so that you are able to inform the team. Ensure that customers’ needs are anticipated and met.
  • Stock Management: Track stock usage across the day. Ensure ingredients and supplies are fully stocked, and that the café is able to be fully operational throughout the day.
  • Maintain the highest standards in Food Hygiene and allergen prevention.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the team to maintain a positive and productive environment.
  • Maintain Mayvn Standards: Ensure the café is always clean, organised, and visually pleasant. Everything we do must adhere to health and safety and food hygiene guidelines.
