Aktar@Home is an independent ready meal business established by Birmingham Two Michelin Star chef Aktar Islam. Specialising in traditional regional Indian cuisine at the highest level for people to enjoy at home; starting in the first lockdown from the restaurant supporting our fine dining guests, the project grew and has continuously grown to great acclaim.
Now, as we restructure for a relaunch and large social media campaign, Aktar at Home are looking for an energetic & enthusiastic people to join their busy, friendly team in their Digbeth site to assist in portioning, packaging and maintaining standards.

• Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards
• Handle materials safely, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used for heavy items
• Operate forklifts and other machinery as required for transporting food products
• Manage inventory using a warehouse management system, ensuring accurate stock levels
• Assist with shipping and receiving of food products, verifying quantities and quality upon arrival
• Engage in picking and packing of food items for distribution
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the food preparation area
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure all food products meet safety standards
• Load and unload deliveries efficiently while adhering to safety protocols

  Pay: From £12.50 per hour
  Expected hours: 8 – 36 per week
