The Food Production Specialist will contribute to the mission, vision, and values of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation by providing high-quality food production and service for JCC programs including JMeals, concession stands, camp lunches, and event catering with standards of excellence. This is a full-time position with a full benefits package including health insurance, 403-B, and JCC family membership. The position will have varying responsibilities and shifts based on program offerings and events, including the following: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service Ensure that all kitchen and food preparation areas and equipment are clean, sanitized, and operational Participate in food preparation, menu planning, and ordering for all program areas Manage inventory for all programs, including rotation of stock as needed Coordinate with supervisor to receive, stock, and properly store food in kitchens and storerooms Perform ongoing clean-up duties during each shift and ensure that all areas are clean and sanitized at the end of each shift Prepare and serve food to Camp JCC campers & Early Learning Center students Provide high-quality catering services including preparing and serving food for JCC programs and events Be familiar with and enact safety protocols and other policies to ensure the health and welfare of all members and guests, referring problems to appropriate staff as needed Communicate and cooperate with colleagues, members, and lay leaders as part of the JCC team, including attending staff meetings as needed Adhere to all JCC and departmental policies Complete all additional duties as assigned by supervisor Benefits: 403(b) 403(b) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Requirements The ideal candidate has very good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to follow directions and work as part of a team. Must have the ability to relate in a positive manner with members and fellow staff while providing exceptional customer service at all times. The ability to handle physical activities, stand and walk for long periods of time and lift weight in excess of 50 pounds is required. Experience in a kitchen environment is preferred. Shifts may include occasional weekends, holidays and evenings.
