We are looking for drivers to join our team. As a member of our fleet team, our driver plays an important part in creating a positive client experience with the delivery of our products. Success in this role will be determined by client satisfaction through on time, accurate large volume deliveries of perishable food products throughout the GTA.

Responsibilities

DRIVING DUTIES:

  • Delivering large volumes of perishable food products and picking up supplies in a safe and timely fashion (delivery routes will vary from time to time)
  • Maintaining a sense of urgency to all requests by other team members and clients
  • Performing efficient loading practices i.e. check load accuracy, secure loads, and ensures products are on the truck etc.
  • Conducting pre-trip inspection and check load security. (Note: Driver will operate an 18’ straight truck)
  • Obtaining PODs and verifying and signatures on delivery
  • Maintaining a clean delivery vehicle (interior, exterior, and delivery trolleys)
  • Performing daily pre/post shift safety inspections and advising the Supervisor of any concerns or service recommendations
  • Refueling vehicle as required and maintain usage/mileage logs
  • Adhering to established uniform requirements and maintains a professional image and handles all client interactions in a courteous, customer-oriented manner
  • Ensuring full compliance with Department of Transportation Regulations

FOOD PRODUCTION DUTIES:

  • Promoting our values (Excellent Food – Superior Service - Fresh Thinking) and providing professional service to our clients
  • Consistent, accurate and food safe production of all food items
  • Maintaining a professional attitude and mannerism with all teammates at all times * Providing support to our other food service divisions as required
  • Following all provincial and local Health guidelines
  • Accurate packaging and labeling of all food items * Assisting with daily prep as assigned by shift team leader
  • Contributing to the daily warehouse operations as needed
  • Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment (0 to 4 degrees Celsius)
  • Cleaning of the Facility (including warehouse, hot kitchen, washrooms, lunchroom, kitchenette etc.)
  • Replenishing of stocks (toilet paper, hand towels, etc.)
  • Operating cardboard compactor and garbage compactor
  • Full cleaning and sanitation of the Assembly Room
  • Able to carry and use equipment (up to 50 lbs.) to thoroughly clean the area * Must be able to workdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, if neede
