Food Program Facilitator – Full Time

Salary: $46,800-$55,700
Position Description: The Food Program Facilitator will be responsible for all food-related activities within the program and will support individuals in developing and working through their personal service plans striving towards health, wellness and belonging. They will promote and demonstrate the vision, mission and values of Indwell within the workplace and community. This role will work within the context of a collaborative interdisciplinary team reflecting the principles of person-centred, trauma-informed, and evidence-based care. They will assist with coordinating and delivering mental health and addiction services to residents with a particular focus on food security and nutrition. This includes working alongside other food security staff to support the meal program overall. This program will serve individuals who have experienced long term housing instability, homelessness, and/or long stay hospitalizations. Scope of work may vary from time to time based on individual and program needs. This position will require a high level of resilience and willingness to work in close proximity to challenging situations. This role may also, at times, provide support in planning and preparation for the regional meal program.

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Program hours expected to fall between 8am-11pm. The program operates 7 days a week, including public holidays. Participation in the on-call 24/7 schedule rotation is required for each position. At times, particularly during the first year of launching the program, this position will also require substantial flexibility to meet program needs.
