Role Overview We are looking for a Quality Specialist to support our food safety and quality assurance operations by ensuring that all incoming and outgoing materials, products, and production processes meet our quality standards and regulatory requirements. The Quality Specialist will be a strong advocate for quality and food safety across the business. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In-depth knowledge and understanding of food quality and food safety standards is essential. The goal is to ensure that our products are produced using high-quality materials and well-functioning processes so that our customers consistently receive safe and high-quality products. Main Responsibilities Support the implementation of preventive quality control checks and generate daily quality scores and highlights. Maintain records of quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation. Generate weekly and monthly reports and scorecards related to quality performance. Follow established procedures to inspect and report quality issues. Monitor operations that affect product quality and food safety. Implement preventive measures to minimize food safety and quality hazards. Ensure all required audits, inspections, and quality activities are completed regularly and submitted on time. Conduct Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) audits and share findings with relevant stakeholders. Investigate customer complaints and non-conformities, conduct root cause analysis, and support the implementation of corrective actions. Inspect procedures throughout the production cycle to ensure efficiency and compliance with quality standards. Support the implementation of food quality initiatives, goals, and objectives. Implement and maintain food safety programs, objectives, policies, and procedures such as HACCP, sanitation programs, temperature logs, and cleaning schedules. Assure the reliability and consistency of production by monitoring processes and finished products. Ensure compliance with all local governmental food safety and quality regulations. Identify quality defects, food safety issues, and recurring problems and recommend appropriate corrective actions. Train and educate teams on food safety practices and support the implementation of policies and procedures that improve day-to-day operations. Ensure work environments are maintained in a safe and hygienic condition. Project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry partners, and the community. Ensure products and processes comply with legal, regulatory, and food safety requirements. Ideal Candidate Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, or any other relevant discipline. General knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and food safety standards. Good understanding of AIB International (AIBI) and BRCGS standards. Good knowledge of local food regulatory and statutory requirements. Minimum of 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance and Food Safety within the food manufacturing, central kitchen, catering, or food production industry. Experience working in a fast-paced food production environment is highly preferred. Locally available candidates are preferred, although candidates from outside the country may also be considered depending on visa availability. Knowledge and Competency Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Great attention to detail with a results-driven approach. Fast learner, reliable, and trustworthy. Ability to promote and maintain a strong food safety culture. Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Pleasant personality with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
