This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that’s constantly evolving. What you will be doing The location for this position is in Pleasanton, CA. The Compliance Associate provides support to the Own Brands Technical Services and ACI-wide compliance and operations activities. The role will have responsibility to review and approve regulatory compliance documentation for Albertsons suppliers. The Compliance Associate will also be working with suppliers and systems to execute supplier surveys, collect information, document and track compliance, and project actions. This position is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance and avoidance of product retrievals and recalls, that can result from noncompliance to product and package regulations. Main responsibilities: Review and approve regulatory compliance documentation Communicate with suppliers and merchandising partners Update project tracking tools used for compliance programs to provide updates on progress and challenges. Provide information to other team members as requested Review and maintain training documents, checklists, and regulatory SOP’s, in collaboration with Technical Services Leadership Support compliance systems requirements and testing along with continuous improvement initiatives for the Technical Services team Support the Technical Services team in data acquisition for other projects as required to maintain accuracy of data within agreed upon project timelines Utilize various business platforms and/or systems to provide support to the Technical Services team in the form of trackers and reports, and mining data for metrics reporting Provide support and act as a back-up resource on Technical Services analytics and metrics reporting as well as product registrations Assist with other key Technical Services product development or regulatory projects, as needed We are looking for candidates who possess the following: Formal degree not required as direct experience can provide the necessary knowledge; BS/BA degree with focus on food science or nutrition science preferred, or combination of education and relevant equivalent work experience Minimum of 2 years of technical data entry or administrative support requiring document preparation and tracking; compliance work within food and beverage retail industry is preferred Proficiency with MS Office Must have excellent attention to details and strong data entry skills with the ability to understand and work with technical information templates, documents, and data systems Must have strong typing skills and be able to handle multiple on-going projects simultaneously, managing own time to complete assignments within the allotted project timelines Strong communication skills (verbal, email, and face-to-face) are required Must be able to communicate cross functionally between directors, managers, technical staff and vendor community daily Must be comfortable with asking questions and having direct discussions of project requirements Experience in working directly with a technical functional group is preferred Travel:
