Position Information
Position Title: Runner
Location: Dubai Hills
Attend to all customers’ needs (greeting, serving food and beverages), in order to ensure their satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Perform opening, changeover and closing duties (cleaning duties, filling salt and pepper condiments, etc.), in addition to running duties (polishing glasses and cutleries, etc.) and fill the required checklists.
  • Ensure that service stations and tables in assigned section are cleaned, sanitized, and fully stocked at all times.
  • Serve food and beverages to customers, and return dirty trays to the GU area for cleaning.
  • Treat customers and colleagues in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Attend to all guests’ needs (greeting, taking orders, refilling drinks, etc.) in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Answer questions about food and beverages (ingredients, preparation, allergens, etc.).
  • Upsell items upon customers’ needs or manager’s request to assist the company in achieving profitability.
  • Observe customers constantly in order to promptly respond to any additional needs.
  • Ensure that all service sequence steps are followed in line with company guidelines.
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  • Assist the host in greeting customers, seating them, handing them menus then thanking them and saying goodbye.
  • Assist the counter in bar stocking and preparing beverage orders.
  • Check up on restrooms cleanliness and trash bins during service, and coordinate with assigned cleaners.
  • Maintain decent grooming and personal hygiene as stated in company guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum experience of 2 years in Food service
  • Good English communication skills
