Job Description Wynn Las Vegas and acclaimed global hospitality partner h.wood Group present Delilah at Wynn Las Vegas, a modern-day supper club. Located in the exclusive Tower Suites enclave, Delilah at Wynn Las Vegas features brunch, cocktails, dining, entertainment, and late-night inspired by the earliest showrooms of Las Vegas in the 1950s. The Delilah Food Runner serves guests and assists the Food Server, Bus Person, Bar, and Kitchen teams while providing prompt tableside service and genuine hospitality to everyone. The Food Runner is serves as a liaison to the kitchen team and must relay timely information from the dining room. Food Runner understands the cycle of service, has complete knowledge of food delivery etiquette, sections, table numbers, position numbers and a comprehensive understanding of all food menu items. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, procedures, techniques, as outlined in the service manual. Key Responsibilities: Daily Operations Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner with eye contact and intention Communicates the needs of guests to co-workers, kitchen, and management Actively participate and contribute to pre-shift meetings Consistently follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by the room management Full knowledge and understanding of all food menu items, specifications, and allergens Expedite food from the kitchen to the tables as dictated by sequence of service and by the Chef, expeditor, or management Is aware of all upcoming orders, status of tables expecting food, and relays this information to the Chefs and Management Always verbally communicates and calls back with the expeditor to ensure that food goes to the correct table and position Runs, delivers, and spiels food in the manner described in the service manual Checks that each table is set with proper silverware before delivering food Describe food upon placement on the table and answering any questions pertaining to the dishes (including changes or additions) Cleanliness and organization of liquor and beer storage areas Ensures proper set up, labeling, stocking and delivery of alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and ice Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet Assists with moving chairs and tables as needed based on the floor plan Responsible for performing table maintenance by checking on the guest throughout service Completing opening and closing side work Maintaining health code standards Maintain table cleanliness utilizing a silent service approach Bid farewell to guests, using guest’s name when known, and encourage them to return Maintain a level of professionalism Anticipate the guests’ needs and responding appropriately with a sense of urgency Work as a team, assisting all guests’ and employees’ needs and inquiries Perform all other job-related duties as requested Be familiar with all Hotel services/ features and local attractions/ activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately Full knowledge of designated china and garnishes for all food menu items Complete opening, closing, and ongoing side duties not limited to fold/stack napkins, polish glassware, polish silverware, stock glassware, restock china, restock supply cabinets and service stations, inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies Guest Services Ensure guest has same elevated experience in lounge as in dining room Adapt to different guests as lounge will be for guests dining as well as those coming to enjoy the atmosphere for cocktails Qualifications Company and Department Responsibilities A highly motivated and energetic personality Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays Candidates must be able to communicate in English fluently and in a professional manner, in written and oral form Requires the ability to work efficiently and within a team environment Applicants must be 21 years of age or above Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times Willing to work in a loud and fast paced environment Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at a present of in the future, for this position at all times Consistently deliver exceptional service to every guest while interacting and entertaining in a professional manner Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation in accordance with Clark County Health Standards Ability to initiate and maintain an upbeat and relaxed environment on a consistent basis Adhere to and enforce company specific safety policies Consistently maintain a well-groomed appearance, posture and hygiene deemed by management Makeup, technique and style should stay current and in line with current fashion standards and trends as deemed by management Maintain dialogue with all guest while upholding a warm, positive and friendly persona at all times Competencies and Requirements: Requires a minimum of 2 years previous work experience as a Food Runner in a lounge/ fine-dining restaurant Candidates must exhibit basic food and advanced table service knowledge Education: High School school diploma or above Language Abilities: Fluent spoken and written English Additional Information Wynn Resorts is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
