We are looking for an enthusiastic server to join our team as a Full-Time Food Runner for our Highland Square Cafe! If you enjoy a fast-paced environment, front-facing food service, and customer service, apply now! Please note that this is a tipped position. *Disclaimer* Candidates MUST be able to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings. Our Cafe opens weekdays at 11:00 AM and Saturday/Sunday at 9:00 AM. Shifts start approximately an hour to a half hour before open, depending on the day of the week. Candidates also MUST be willing to learn the Barista responsibilities as well. Any previous coffee service is a huge plus! Job Summary Provides excellent customer service to our Café guests in a friendly and efficient manner. Responsibilities Maintains, cleans, and sanitizes cafe area continually. Maintains restrooms and signs off on a restroom checklist hourly. Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the dining room and surrounding area before, during, and after business hours. Clears tables quickly and quietly and takes dishes and glassware to dish area. Resets tables and stocks caddies. Ensures guest expectations are met or exceeded. Follows directions of Café Supervisor for setting up room(s); moving and setting up tables and chairs, breaking down rooms, and cleaning areas. Sets up and tears down stages for weekend and musical entertainment Delivers food and drinks to tables making sure that order is accurate and complete. Maintains and stocks the water station. Pre-bus plates and glassware from all tables. Maintains proper number system and flow within the dining area Assists all guests depending on needs. Performs other duties as assigned. Working Conditions Works in a non-smoking, normal store environment where there is not physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, etc. Equipment Operated Vacuum Cleaner Liquid Cleansers Requirements Education and Experience (E = Essential D = Desired) High school education or equivalent or current enrollment is required Previous server experience desired Previous barista/coffee experience desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Interpersonal skills Verbal skills Attention to detail Customer Service Physical Requirements Bending Reading Walking Carrying 50 lbs.
