Position Summary: The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately, ensuring a smooth flow of service and a high-quality dining experience. This position works closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to support the front-of-house operations. Key Responsibilities: * Promptly deliver food and beverages to guests' tables as prepared by the kitchen. * Ensure all items are presented properly, according to restaurant standards. * Confirm food orders are complete and correct before leaving the kitchen. * Assist in explaining dishes to guests if needed (e.g., ingredients, sides, temperature). * Delivers food to the correct person at the correct table. * Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen expo line and service areas. * Support servers by refilling drinks, clearing dishes, and responding to guest needs when possible. * Communicate effectively with kitchen and waitstaff to ensure efficient service. * Assist in resetting tables and maintaining a clean dining area. * Handle food with care, following all health and safety guidelines. * Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Prior restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. * Must be able to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
