Position Summary The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food from the kitchen pass to guests’ tables accurately, efficiently, and according to restaurant standards. This role requires strong communication with the chef and kitchen team, attention to special notes on orders, and the ability to carry large trays up and down stairs between two floors while maintaining proper food presentation. Key Responsibilities Communication & Accuracy Communicate clearly and respectfully with the chef and kitchen staff Read and fully understand all order tickets, including special notes, modifications, and allergies Confirm any unclear instructions with the chef before delivering food Ensure all items on the order are complete before leaving the pass Food Delivery Deliver food promptly from the pass to the correct tables on both floors Carry large trays safely and confidently while walking stairs Serve food following seat numbers and table positions Announce dishes when serving guests to avoid confusion Presentation & Standards Understand and follow the restaurant’s food presentation standards Check plating, cleanliness of plates, and garnish before serving Ensure food looks neat, attractive, and ready for guests Report presentation issues to the chef immediately Dining Room Support Assist servers with pre-bussing, clearing plates, and table resets when needed Keep service stations and pass area clean and organized Support smooth service during busy periods Safety & Professionalism Follow proper food handling and hygiene procedures Use caution when carrying hot plates and heavy trays Maintain a professional appearance and calm attitude during service What We’re Looking For: We are seeking individuals who are: ✅ Warm, friendly, and service-focused. ✅ Passionate about hospitality and working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. ✅ Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining exceptional service standards. ✅ Strong communicators with the ability to enhance the customer experience. ✅ Able to work efficiently under pressure while ensuring a seamless dining experience. ✅ Confident working both independently and as part of a dynamic team. ✅ Experienced in busy restaurant operations (previous experience is required).
