Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Quality, this role is accountable for the management and assessment of all Food Safety Programs within Joriki Inc. facilities.

EDUCATION PREFERRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in poultry/animal science, biology, or chemistry preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a quality assurance role in lieu of required education.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • One to three years food & beverage manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities

Responsible for driving food safety and quality programs through strong influence, coaching and education of key programs including but not limited to

  • Provide tactical direction for Regulatory and Crisis Management issues, including interaction with FDA and local Regulatory Agencies.
  • serve as PCQI / SQF practitioner for the site and manage overall development, implementation, and maintenance of the food safety system, including all prerequisite programs, hazard analysis and food safety plans.
  • Liaison between Consumer Response, Risk Management, Manufacturing facilities to ensure customer/consumer expectations are met
  • Responsible for the Development and implementation of Joriki Inc.’s Food Safety & Quality Programs to ensure all relevant Client Quality requirements are met. This includes on going documentation updating and onsite auditing of the Joriki Inc. Facilities.
  • Ensures progress against Quality KPIs and develops action plans to address areas of concern.
  • Assists Quality & Production Team Members to drive new product/process sustainability to deliver consistent Quality KPIs.
  • Provides technical support to the development and commercialization of new products.
  • Follow-up and coordinate the release and/or removal of hold product through the proper channels. Coordinate the systematic release of all product once food safety parameters have been verified.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of Quality Systems in the Joriki Inc. business units to ensure all internal Quality standards exceed Client & Consumer expectations.
  • Provides support & training to key Joriki Inc. Employees regarding the following:

o Quality Policies,
o Food Safety
o SOP’s,
o Compliance and Product & Process performance,
o HACCP,
o Sanitation,
o Integrated Pest Management
o Management of Allergens
