A growing Ready-to-Eat (RTE) food production facility in Pittsburgh is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead quality and safety initiatives. This hands-on role ensures regulatory compliance and drives continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead food safety and quality initiatives to ensure compliance with HACCP, SQF, PCQI, FDA, USDA, and GMP standards.
  • Supervise and coach QA technicians, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage product disposition, equipment calibration, and quality documentation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver training and align operational goals.
  • Drive process improvements, uphold hygiene standards, and promote safe work practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate degree with relevant experience considered.
  • 3-5 years in food safety/QA, ideally in RTE.
  • HACCP, SQF, and PCQI certifications required.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communicator with organizational skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Committed to learning and continuous improvement.
