FOOD TECHNICIAN – KINGSWAY PARK HIGH SCHOOL

Salary: School Support Scale 05 (£21,965 - £22,314). Actual Salary £21,965 - £22,314.
Contract: Permanent – TTO plus 1 week (40 weeks) – 37 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible

Our Food Science and Nutrition Department is well-equipped with two dedicated classrooms and state-of-the-art resources. As a Food Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our teaching staff to deliver high-quality lessons, maintaining an excellent learning environment, and inspiring students to excel in Food Science and Nutrition.

Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation & Stock Management: Ordering, storing, and disposing of ingredients; ensuring stock levels are maintained.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Organising, cleaning, and repairing equipment as needed.
  • Classroom Support: Preparing materials for lessons, assisting with demonstrations, and helping students with their practical work.
  • Health & Safety: Maintaining a safe, clean environment and managing department records.
