Description Summary The Food Server directly interacts with the public with good communication skills and providing outstanding service. This job creates a great experience for our guests by delivering prompt, friendly service, quality products and maintaining a clean and comfortable dining environment. The position requires menu knowledge, liquor and wine knowledge and following proper serving techniques. This is a physically demanding job that requires cleaning and resetting of tables, keeping station and side station clean while maintaining guest and company service standards. Responsibilities Greet and welcome all guests in a professional manner upon seating. Adheres to all Food & Beverage, as well as safety and health regulations. Use of proper cash handling procedures and ensuring all guests checks are generated and paid for. Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work area. Ensures customer satisfaction and effectively addresses any concerns or complaints, escalating to management as appropriate. Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture and values of the company. Stays up to date on current menus, discounts and casino promotions. Ensures expedient service of food and beverages to the guest. Accurately rings all orders into the POS system. Monitors guests’ needs on a continual basis, ensuring all requests will be promptly fulfilled. Assists other employees with maintenance (side work, opening/closing duties) as necessary. Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment. Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment. Requirements Qualifications/Education/Experience Must have and be able to maintain a valid Food Handler Certification and Responsible Beverage Server Certification as a pre-requisite to being extended a job offer. Must successfully pass Title 31 training within 90 days of employment. Highschool diploma or GED. Must be 21 years of age or older. 6 months of previous experience as a food server. Knowledge of drink preparation, liquor, and wine knowledge. Ability to read, write and communicate in English. Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
