Description JOB SUMMARY: Taking and delivering orders: Servers must accurately take orders and ensure they are delivered promptly. Knowledge of the menu and beverages: They should have a deep knowledge of the restaurant's menu and beverages to upsell items and inform guests about specials. Guest relations: Servers must maintain excellent guest relations and communicate effectively with guests, kitchen staff, and other staff members. Service standards: They must adhere to established service standards and maintain a clean and sanitary dining environment. Flexibility: Servers may be required to perform additional tasks as assigned by management and as necessary and work varying hours at times. Physical stamina: The role often requires standing, walking, and carrying trays for extended periods. Attention to detail: Servers must ensure the order is served correctly and the customer's needs are met. Customer service: They must provide excellent customer service to ensure guests leave the restaurant satisfied with their meal and overall dining experience. Servers in a casino restaurant must also be able to work independently and handle various responsibilities, including managing side duties and ensuring the restaurant's operational efficiency. Requirements GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be 21 years of age. Two (2) years of food service experience. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle a 27-inch oval food server’s tray, ranging in weight from 20 to 35 pounds. Ability to move throughout the kitchen continuously during their shift. Ability to push and/or pull 40 to 50 pounds on wheels. Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner. Must present a professional and pleasant appearance that guests will find appealing and approachable in order to engage in conversation. Ability to familiarize with wine and spirits menu, service, and knowledge. Ability to follow directions. DEMANDS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: PHYSICAL & MENTAL: Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, crouch, push, and pull when necessary. Must be able to handle more than one function at a time by being well-organized and attentive to details. Must fully understand standards of position as management may direct. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to tolerate hot temperatures in the kitchen areas. Must be able to work inside and continuously maneuver in and around throughout the Steakhouse. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
