Job Title: Food Service Co-worker FLSA Status: Non-exempt   POSITION SUMMARY The Food Service Co-worker is responsible for following detailed job breakdowns to ensure the preparation, cooking, and serving of high-quality meals in a clean and safe kitchen environment. This role upholds the core Franciscan values of reconciliation, peace and justice, responsible stewardship, and respect for each individual.   PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES * Sanitize and clean all work areas both before and after each shift. * Maintain proper hygiene by frequently washing hands, wearing a name tag, and securing hair. * Perform assigned duties as outlined by daily shift requirements, which may include: * GA Meals: Prepare, replenish, and serve items for breakfast, supper, and/or dinner; wash prep items, recycle materials, set up and clean food lines, update menu boards, and prep for future meals. * MA Meals: Assist with food prep, serve on the tray line, operate the steam table, and complete tasks to support future meal preparation. * Dishwashing: Clean and sanitize dishes using an industrial dishwasher, manage tray line service, handle trash, compost, laundry duties, and assist with meal setup and restocking supplies. * Cleaning: Thoroughly clean all designated areas as specified in the daily job breakdown.   1. WORK ENVIRONMENT * Full-time, indoor role in a kitchen setting. * Requires standing for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
