Location: Avera Tyler Hospital Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Day Shift (United States of America) Pay Range: The pay range for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate dependent upon experience. $18.75 - $23.00 Position Highlights Some hours will be as a cook and other will be spent ordering. Work where you matter. A Brief Overview Plans, organizes and directs all hospital catered events. Orders all food, office supplies and minor equipment following approved purchasing practices. Regularly scheduled to work shifts such as cook or patient tray line. What you will do Plans, coordinates, and carries out all medical center special events that include food service; uses hospital computer system to generate catering services requisitions; follows medical center policies regarding provision of catering services. Orders and receives all department food and supplies following Premier Purchasing policies and medical center purchasing guidelines; maintains appropriate levels of food and supplies to carry out planned department menus/functions. Maintains Emergency food and paper supplies. Ensures that food products are rotated and there are no outdated products. Orientates and provides supervision to staff scheduled to work for catered events in the event that leadership is unavailable to work. Maintains work areas to comply with safety and sanitation standards. Maintains department statistics that relate to food service and supplies provided to other medical center departments. Assists with patient tray line duties as requested. Approves requisitions from other medical center departments/work areas for food supplies.
