Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Food Service Delivery Driver is responsible for loading/unloading all meals to each site in a timely fashion; maintain overall cleanliness of the van; assist in cleaning the kitchen if time permits, dishes, labeling of warmers/coolers for delivery. May also be asked to pick up product from local grocery stores. The warmers/coolers that need to be loaded on a daily basis may weigh up to 50lbs. This position requires a valid chauffeur's license with good driving record. Applicants must be available Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Properly labels warmers/coolers for delivery to each site Assists in placing prepared meals in their proper containers Maintains/cleans the van while properly filling out the vehicle check list Keep records of the deliveries for each day Drives delivery Van to numerous off-sites safely and in a timely fashion Efficiently loads and unloads warmers/coolers into the vehicle for delivery Communicates in a professional manor with each site coordinator Performs any other functions deemed to be necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids Association COMPENSATION $14.35 - $17.93 ; Non-Exempt, Part-Time (up to 25 hours/week) BENEFITS: Free YMCA Individual Membership – Enjoy full access to facilities. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED); one to three months of previous delivery driving experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles. YMCA experience preferred.
