Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) / Food Service Director We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) / Food Service Director to oversee the daily operations of our dietary department in a skilled nursing facility. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals that meet residents’ dietary needs, regulatory requirements, and personal preferences. The CDM will manage food service staff, maintain compliance with health and safety standards, and promote an organized, efficient kitchen environment that supports residents, staff, and visitors. Job Summary: Symphony Care Network is looking for high level culinary talent to bring the dining experience to new levels for our residents/guests. One of the most important part of their day is mealtime. It is a time to visit with others and enjoy a nutritious and flavorful meal. Our culinary staff is the key to making all that possible. Essential Functions: Assists in development of policies and procedures, and menus, in charge of development of individualized job descriptions, cleaning schedules, and other dietary management tools. Assures that proper storage is available, and that handling of food and supplies complies with current guidelines. Processes new diet orders and diet changes when received from Nursing Service and keeps diet tray cards updated. Visits residents to do in-depth initial nutritional assessment and screening, explain diet, record food preferences, and promote a quality of food service. Visits at least one time per quarter. Evaluates work performance and gives periodic evaluations to dietary employees. Enforces established rules and regulations of the Facility and Dietary Department. Qualifications/Experience: Must be available to work weekends and some holidays.
