FOOD SERVICE DIRECTOR – SKILLED NURSING FACILITY

Our dynamic skilled nursing facility is seeking a Food Service Director to oversee and manage all aspects of food service operations. We’re looking for an experienced, organized, and passionate leader who can ensure our residents and staff receive high-quality meals in a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in a food service leadership role, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred

• Directing and overseeing daily food service operations for residents and staff
• Ensuring compliance with NY State Department of Health regulations and facility policies
• Managing food handling, preparation, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Reviewing and planning menus in collaboration with dietary needs and resident preferences
• Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising dietary staff
• Maintaining inventory, budget control, and vendor relationships
