Responsibilities Coordinates, leads, and assists Food Service Representatives who prepare food or beverages, set up patient trays, deliver patient trays, obtain patient menu selections, handle retail transactions, or who operate dishwashing machines and clean the kitchen area. Responsible for communications between the nursing units, patients and the Food Service Department in regard to patient menus, diet changes, and general patient services. Must be familiar with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction. Assists the supervisors/leads in the daily operation of the patient services program. Assists with customer service recovery initiatives. Conduct rounding on patients daily to ensure meal standards, service and quality standards are being met and documenting feedback. Enters daily rounds into software. Performs service recovery as needed and share the feedback with Food Service leadership. Assists with the onboarding and training of new patient dining associates. Qualifications REQUIRED Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions. One (1) year experience in Food Service. One year customer service experience Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with patients and other hospital personnel. Ability to problem-solve in a customer service environment PREFERRED One (1) year food service leadership experience. Work Hours: 6am-6pm Weekend Requirements: Yes- Rotating Basis On-Call Requirements: No
Responsibilities
