UPMC Northwest is looking for a compassionate and service-minded individual to join our Food Service department as a full-time Food Service Host on second shift (11:00 AM – 7:00 PM), including rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to hand hygiene and infection control procedures on a consistent basis when interacting with customers.
  • Adhere to department procedures regarding the operation of all food service equipment.
  • Communicate customer complaints and concerns effectively with other health care team members.
  • Perform sanitation for assigned work area in accordance with departmental procedures and health department guidelines.
  • Serve patient meal trays using the designated department script to include proper patient identification.
  • Distribute and collect menus from patients according to departmental procedures.
  • Display customer service skills when responding to meal service requests, resulting in a satisfied customer.
  • Serve meals within established timeframes, adhering to departmental standards for appearance, food quality, and temperature control.
