UPMC Presbyterian is looking to hire full time, flex full time, part time, and casual Food Service Hosts to support its patient services department. This position will work holidays and weekends. Candidates must be able to work between the hours of 5:00am to 8:30pm. Candidates must have open availability. Individuals hired into this role must comply with UPMC’s COVID vaccination requirements upon beginning employment with UPMC. Refer to the COVID-19 Vaccination Information section at the top of this page to learn more. Responsibilities: Adheres to department procedures regarding the operation of all food service equipment. Adheres to hand hygiene and infection control procedures on a consistent basis when interacting with customers. Assembles and serves meals according to diet orders, menus and patient / guest specific requirements. Assures the necessary food and service equipment / utensils are secured for assigned area prior to meal service. Inventories and stocks bulk supplies, following established procedures and designated time frames. Maintains food safety and quality by applying HACCP principles throughout service. Patient Service Specific Responsibility: Serves patient meal tray using the designated department script, to include proper patient identification. Performs sanitation for assigned work area in accordance with departmental procedures and health department guidelines. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED OR 1 year of previous job experience required in lieu of High School Diploma/GED Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Act 34 Criminal Clearance UPMC is an equal opportunity employer.
